The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria has announced that the 2025 edition of the National Advertising Conference will be held in Abuja from November 12 to 14, bringing together stakeholders across the marketing communications industry to deliberate on growth, innovation, and policy issues.

This year’s conference will run with the theme ‘Marketing Communications: Transforming Businesses and Creating Growth in Challenging Times’. The event is expected to attract advertising practitioners, brand owners, agency executives, regulators, academics, and policymakers.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos recently, the Director-General of ARCON, Olalekan Fadolapo, said the annual conference remains a platform for addressing industry challenges and shaping the regulatory direction of the sector.

He added that the government, particularly ARCON as regulator, stands to benefit significantly from the outcomes of the conference.

“Almost all the discourse feeds into our policy direction. We take note of deliberations and use them to improve regulation and industry practice,” he said.

Also, the Chairman of the NAC Planning Committee, Tunji Adeyinka, noted that the conference would open on Wednesday, November 12, with a fireside chat themed ‘A Different Generation, A Different Industry’. He stated that the second day will also feature discussions on sub-national branding opportunities, adding that November 14 will host multiple breakout sessions, including one dedicated to academia, as well as masterclasses on artificial intelligence, public sector communications, and destination branding.

“The conference would not just be a talk show but an advocacy platform that generates actionable outcomes for the industry. He also disclosed that attendance fees are set at N250,000 until October, after which late registration will attract N300,000.”

Also, the President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, Lanre Adisa, emphasised the economic relevance of marketing communications, citing industry data that shows every N1 spent on the sector generates N16.5 in GDP.
